Alma Dehdashti, DO - Certified Dermatologist with Optum

After completing her residency in 2013, Alma Dehdashti, DO, embarked on a career in dermatology, working for healthcare organizations and teaching students at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Today, Dr. Alma Dehdashti is a certified dermatologist with Optum, a practice that specializes in treating dermatological conditions.

Dr. Dehdashti diagnoses and treats patients with hair, skin, and nail conditions. She performs procedures, surgical excisions, and biopsies as part of providing patient care. As part of her work, she coordinates with a multi-specialty group nationwide. A physician who supports inclusiveness, she provides care to patients of all ages and backgrounds and is an LGBTQ+ Affirming Provider.

Dr. Dehdashti’s work in this field has resulted in Women in Medicine naming her a Top Dermatologist in 2024. Additionally, Pinnacle Professional Member Continental named her to it Who’s Who in Dermatology ranking in 2024.

Dr. Dehdashti is a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. Her training includes earning an osteopathic medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Dehdashti travels and is PADI certified NITROX Scuba Diver. She enjoys learning languages, cooking, and having new experiences. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
